Full Description

Native Tree Pack is a premium selection of mature UK-native trees supplied as XXL specimens, ideal for instant impact planting. Unlike hedging packs, these trees are sold by girth rather than height , with each tree standing at 2+ metres tall and offering well-established structure from day one. Varieties included – equal split (20% each): Field Maple ( Acer campestre ) – A hardy native tree with attractive lobed foliage and excellent autumn colour, well suited to countryside, parkland, and boundary planting. Green Beech ( Fagus sylvatica ) – A classic British tree valued for its smooth grey bark and dense crown, providing long-term structure and seasonal interest. Greenspire Lime ( Tilia cordata β€˜Greenspire’ ) – A refined native lime cultivar with an upright habit, ideal for avenues, formal schemes, and large-scale landscape projects. Hornbeam ( Carpinus betulus ) – A tough, adaptable native tree with excellent wind tolerance and strong form, commonly used in rural and semi-formal settings. Silver Birch ( Betula pendula ) – A fast-establishing native tree with distinctive white bark and light canopy, perfect for softening landscapes and adding visual contrast. This pack is ideal for landowners, developers, landscapers, and estate projects looking to create immediate scale, maturity, and long-term ecological value using high-quality native trees.

Planting and care

Choose a position in full sun or partial shade. Keep the soil moist while allowing excess water to drain freely.

Water thoroughly after planting and check soil moisture regularly during establishment, particularly in dry or windy weather. Keep competing weeds clear and avoid piling mulch against stems.

Check the individual plants in the pack before positioning them. Match pruning and any winter protection to each supplied species; use the full plant list and substitution notes on this page.

What you’ll receive

Supplied according to the option you select for this product.

Stem Girth/Height: as selected when ordering.
Root Type: Bare Root.
Bundle Size: as selected when ordering.

Delivery and unpacking

On arrival, carefully remove outer packaging and check the plants against your order. Handle plants by their pot or root ball where possible, rather than pulling on stems or branches.

Check root moisture and water if needed. Until planting, keep the plants upright in a sheltered position and prevent roots from drying out. If supplied bare-root, keep the roots covered and moist and plant promptly when conditions allow.

Delivery arrangements and any charges are those confirmed for your order.

Important information

The beech trees in this mix can produce nuts that cause illness if eaten, with serious poisoning documented in horses. Keep fallen beechnuts away from children and dogs and prevent livestock from gorging on them. Do not use the tree pack or its pruning waste as animal feed.

Hardiness is a conservative estimate for the whole mix (H6), based on its least cold-hardy listed plant. Individual plants may be hardier; site, drainage and establishment affect winter survival.
