Designed for a timeless look, this collection pairs clipped structure with flowering plants in an easy-to-repeat planting scheme. Use it beside a terrace, along a garden path or beneath a separately purchased row of pleached trees. The supplied Globemaster alliums have purple flowers; the main collection image shows a white-flowered design illustration.

Planting and care
Plants in this collection vary with availability. Check the light, soil, drainage, spacing and winter-protection needs of the plants supplied before positioning them. Water thoroughly after planting, then during dry spells until the plants are established. Pruning and other ongoing care should follow the requirements of each supplied species and cultivar.

Delivery and unpacking
On arrival, carefully remove outer packaging and check the plants against your order. Handle plants by their pot or root ball where possible, rather than pulling on stems or branches.
Check root moisture and water if needed. Until planting, keep the plants upright in a sheltered position and prevent roots from drying out. If supplied bare-root, keep the roots covered and moist and plant promptly when conditions allow.

Important information
This border contains yew, which is highly poisonous if eaten, including dried foliage and seeds. It also contains ornamental alliums, which can harm pets if eaten, plus hydrangea, agapanthus and lavender, which should not be consumed. Keep children, pets and livestock from eating any of the planting or cuttings, and treat suspected yew ingestion as an emergency.
Hardiness is a conservative estimate for the whole mix (H3), based on its least cold-hardy listed plant. Individual plants may be hardier; site, drainage and establishment affect winter survival. The rating assumes the listed planting recipe; substitutions can change hardiness. The blue agapanthus variety is unconfirmed; protect it from frost and winter wet.
