Fill a border with colour and an informal country-garden character with the Harrod Rustic Collection. Red salvia, white foxgloves, Russian sage, low-growing ceanothus and rudbeckia create a varied mix of flower shapes and planting heights.
Tall flower spires rise through softer planting, while bright blooms bring energy to the scheme. This collection suits gardens where you want a looser, more abundant look, with colour and texture taking centre stage. White foxgloves are supplied; the main collection image shows pink foxgloves.

Planting and care
Plants in this collection vary with availability. Check the light, soil, drainage, spacing and winter-protection needs of the plants supplied before positioning them. Water thoroughly after planting, then during dry spells until the plants are established. Pruning and other ongoing care should follow the requirements of each supplied species and cultivar.

Delivery and unpacking
On arrival, carefully remove outer packaging and check the plants against your order. Handle plants by their pot or root ball where possible, rather than pulling on stems or branches.
Check root moisture and water if needed. Until planting, keep the plants upright in a sheltered position and prevent roots from drying out. If supplied bare-root, keep the roots covered and moist and plant promptly when conditions allow.

Important information
This border contains foxgloves, whose leaves, flowers, seeds and dried material can cause serious heart poisoning if eaten. White-flowered foxgloves have the same hazard. Keep children and animals from eating the plants or cuttings and seek urgent medical or veterinary advice after suspected ingestion.
Hardiness is a conservative estimate for the whole mix (H3), based on its least cold-hardy listed plant. Individual plants may be hardier; site, drainage and establishment affect winter survival. The rating assumes the listed planting recipe; substitutions can change hardiness. The red salvia variety is unconfirmed. H3 is provisional and assumes a perennial type; provide frost-free winter protection until the supplied variety is confirmed, since bedding salvias can be more tender.
