About this tree

Pleached Bay Laurel Trees offer an elegant and practical way to introduce structure, privacy, and evergreen beauty to your garden. With their aromatic foliage, refined form, and year-round appeal, Laurus nobilis is a versatile choice for enhancing any outdoor space, whether used as a screen, boundary, or decorative feature.

Choosing this plant for your space

Plan the clear stem height and trained canopy position together, so screening sits at the level you need. For a row, compare the chosen stem measurements across the trees to achieve a consistent starting line.

Position and soil

Choose a position in full sun or partial shade. Use well-drained soil that allows excess water to drain away.

Choosing your size

The option you select determines the clear stem height and stem girth supplied. Use the listed measurements to plan the quantity and spacing for your scheme before ordering.

Planting and care

Culinary use: use Laurus nobilis leaves for flavouring and remove whole leaves before serving.

What you’ll receive

Supplied according to the option you select for this product.

Clear Stem Height: as selected when ordering.
Stem Girth: as selected when ordering.

Delivery and unpacking

On arrival, carefully remove outer packaging and check the plants against your order. Handle plants by their pot or root ball where possible, rather than pulling on stems or branches.

Check root moisture and water if needed. Until planting, keep the plants upright in a sheltered position and prevent roots from drying out. If supplied bare-root, keep the roots covered and moist and plant promptly when conditions allow.

Larger plants and root balls can be heavy. Arrange suitable help and equipment for safe unloading and positioning.

Delivery arrangements and any charges are those confirmed for your order.

Important information

Bay leaves are used in cooking, but remove whole leaves before serving food. Do not let pets or horses chew this plant, and keep concentrated bay oil away from them. Contact a vet if an animal eats leaves and becomes unwell.
