Full Description

Tilia Γ— europaea 'Pallida' , or Lime 'Pallida', is a fast-growing, upright cultivar of the common lime, selected for its pale green foliage , early leaf emergence , and uniform, pyramidal crown . As a Full Standard tree , it is cultivated with a single clear stem, ideal for formal rows, streetscapes, and public green spaces. This cultivar is particularly valued for its high nectar yield , making it a magnet for pollinators, and its excellent tolerance to pruning, urban pollution, and compacted soils . With fragrant yellow flowers appearing in early summer and golden-yellow autumn foliage, 'Pallida' is both practical and visually striking in structured landscapes.

Planting and care

Choose a position in full sun or partial shade. Keep the soil moist while allowing excess water to drain freely.

Water thoroughly after planting and check soil moisture regularly during establishment, particularly in dry or windy weather. Keep competing weeds clear and avoid piling mulch against stems.

What you’ll receive

Supplied according to the option you select for this product.

Stem Girth/Height: as selected when ordering.
Root Type: as selected when ordering.

Delivery and unpacking

On arrival, carefully remove outer packaging and check the plants against your order. Handle plants by their pot or root ball where possible, rather than pulling on stems or branches.

Check root moisture and water if needed. Until planting, keep the plants upright in a sheltered position and prevent roots from drying out. If supplied bare-root, keep the roots covered and moist and plant promptly when conditions allow.

Larger plants and root balls can be heavy. Arrange suitable help and equipment for safe unloading and positioning.

Delivery arrangements and any charges are those confirmed for your order.

Important information

Lime trees are not generally a poisoning concern in normal garden use. Leaves, twigs and seeds should still not be offered as pet food or swallowed by young children. Remove large piles of cuttings after pruning.
