A familiar dessert pear
Williams is widely known as Williams’ Bon Chrétien, a dessert pear grown for its flavourful yellow-green fruit. White blossom adds seasonal interest before the crop develops. This trained half-standard version combines productive-garden appeal with the clear outline of a small orchard tree.
Growing for fruit
Choose a sunny, sheltered position and plan a suitable compatible pear nearby for pollination. Allow room for the crown as it develops; the rootstock and ongoing pruning influence the tree’s eventual size. Regular attention during establishment helps the tree settle into its new position.
Choose the supplied size
This product is pot grown with an 80–100cm clear stem. Select the required stem girth from the available options. The clear-stem measurement describes the distance to the crown, rather than total tree height. If you need a particular mature size or are matching a pollination partner, ask us to confirm the rootstock and suitability before ordering.
