Mixed Native Hedging
Our Mixed Native Hedging is placed into the ?medium growing hedge? category as plants like Hawthorn will grow up to 45cm per year, Privets at 20-40cm per year and Beech at 30-60cm per year. The hedging can be pruned twice a year if needed in Winter and Springtime, avoiding the nesting months to ensure any wildlife in the hedging remains safe. We offer our Mixed Native Hedging in a variety of sizes from 15cm-200cm, all bare root so they are ready to be planted into your ideal hedging as soon as they are delivered.
The Mixed Native Hedging is created with native, British plants and so they are already adapted to growing and flourishing in British weather and soil types. This means your Mixed Native Hedging will be very hardy and able to tolerate colder weather and stronger winds. The hedging will also grow very dense and bushy, giving your garden great sound and privacy protection, whilst still highlighting the beauty of the variety of plants.
The recommended planting density varies depending on the height of our Mixed Native Hedging you buy. For example:
Small – 15cm-80cm: It is recommended that you plant 3-5 per metre
Medium – 80cm-160cm: It is recommended that you plant 2-3 per metre
Large – 160cm-200cm: It is recommended that you plant only 1-2 per metre
