Flower Power Mixed Hedging Pack: A Kaleidoscope of Colour and Life

Introduction: Unveil the vibrancy of nature with our ‘Flower Power Mixed Hedging Pack’. Carefully curated to include Elder, Dogwood, Forsythia, Guelder Rose, Hawthorn, and Bird Cherry, this pack is available in pot grown, rootball, and bare root types across various heights and sizes. Each variety is specifically chosen for its flowering prowess, ensuring your hedge is not just a boundary but a celebration of natural beauty.

A Symphony of Blooms and Berries

Elder (Sambucus nigra): Chosen for its large, fragrant clusters of creamy-white flowers, Elder is a beacon of early summer beauty. These blossoms later transform into rich, purple berries, offering visual and wildlife appeal.

Dogwood (Cornus sanguinea): Dogwood is included for its striking white spring flowers, followed by vibrant red winter stems. This contrast ensures your hedge remains a focal point throughout the year.

Forsythia: Forsythia is a herald of spring with its bright yellow blooms covering the bare branches. Its inclusion brings a cheerful burst of early colour, enlivening the hedge when most plants are still dormant.

Guelder Rose (Viburnum opulus): Selected for its beautiful white lace-cap flowers, Guelder Rose adds elegance and texture. In autumn, its red berries and vibrant leaves provide a stunning display.

Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna): A classic hedging choice, Hawthorn is prized for its lovely white blossoms, which create a frothy, fragrant display in spring, followed by red berries, greatly appreciated by birds.

Bird Cherry (Prunus padus): Bird Cherry completes the pack with its cascades of white, almond-scented flowers. It’s a magnet for pollinators and birds, making it an essential component for a wildlife-friendly hedge.

Versatile Planting Options

  • Pot Grown: Ideal for year-round planting, offering flexibility and ease of establishment.
  • Rootball: Best for an instant, mature look, providing immediate impact and structure.
  • Bare Root: A cost-effective option, perfect for planting in the dormant season for robust growth.
