This hydrangea is celebrated for its unique ability to bloom repeatedly throughout the summer. The flowers, which vary in colour from deep blue to rich pink, depend on the soil’s pH level. In acidic soils (pH below 6), the flowers tend to be blue, while in alkaline soils (pH above 7), they turn pink. This change is due to the availability of aluminium ions in the soil; acidic soils allow the plant to absorb these ions, which contribute to the blue coloration. The plant grows moderately, featuring large, dark green leaves and a strong root system.
