Description
Caucasica Laurel
The Caucasica Laurel, also named the Prunus Laurocerasus ‘Caucasica’, is always praised by our customers for its beautiful foliage, as the leaves are a deep green colour which is emphasised as the white flowers and red berries grow in the Springtime against the glossy leaves. These leaves are elongated and grow upright, so this Laurel is a great alternative to the spreading varieties, like the Cherry Laurel, if a customer is looking to save on space in their garden.
Our Caucasica Laurels (if preferred) will grow tall- easily over 5m in height, making them ideal for instant privacy and protection. They are easily maintained if just trimmed once or twice a year, and can typically grow anywhere from 30-60cm depending on factors like watering and nutrient intake, placing them into the “fast growing hedge” category. We offer you the choice of Caucasica Laurels in a range of sizes, meaning you can choose to affordably grow the hedging or receive it fully-grown and instantly have the benefits of its colour and privacy.
The Caucasica Laurel holds its beauty year-round as it is an evergreen hedge and therefore offers your garden the best wind, sound, and privacy protection at all times. The stunning berries and flowers produced by the Laurel will attract wildlife into your garden as they are loved by a variety of birds and bees, which is why this hedging is always a favourite with our eco-conscious customers. The Laurel is a very hardy plant and will grow well in most normal to clay soils and can thrive in both fully sunned and partly shaded areas, whilst being exposed or sheltered too.
The recommended planting density varies depending on the height of the plants you buy. For Example:
