Sycamore Maple trees, scientifically known as Acer pseudoplatanus, are large deciduous trees native to Europe and parts of Asia. Sycamore Maples are known for their impressive size and speedy growth rate. Typically growing to a height of 60 to 100 feet (18 to 30 meters) and occasionally reaching up to 130 feet (40 meters). Mulching around the base of the tree helps retain soil moisture and regulate temperature. Pruning is usually done to remove dead, or damaged branches, and it is best done during the dormant season in late winter or early spring. Pruning can also help maintain a balanced and pleasing shape for the tree. Regular inspections for common pests and diseases are recommended.
Annys Globe Maple Trees are small, slow-growing deciduous trees that typically reach heights of about 10 to 15 feet (3 to 4.5 meters) and a similar spread, when mature.
