Description
Beech
Beech hedging has broad, dark green leaves that remain intact throughout all seasons until they are replaced by the new, light green foliage in the springtime in a stunning display of colour. This beauty is why it is seen as the ideal replacement to evergreen hedging and is also favoured by many of our customers as a more affordable alternative too.
The Beech hedging (if preferred) will grow tall, whilst still being easy to maintain, only needing to be trimmed once or twice a year to keep it at your preferred height. In one year, the Beech hedging will grow from 30cm – 60cm, depending on factors like watering and nutrients, placing it into the “fast growing hedge” category. Our Beech hedging is available for you to purchase from 30cm to 210 cm tall, meaning you have the choice of affordably growing the hedging or receiving it fully-grown and having instant privacy and protection all year round due to it keeping its leaves throughout the seasons.
The leaves of Beech hedging have three main colours throughout the year, the vivid, emerald colour in early spring, the classic, dark green in summer and the amber, crisp leaves in autumn until the new foliage comes through the following spring. We find this product is always in high demand due to its versatility as it’s suitable for normal, clay and chalky soils, and will still grow in fully sunned areas and semi shaded areas in both inland and coastal gardens.
If preferred, Beech hedging can be enjoyed alongside other types of hedging, like Copper Beech hedging, if the two types of Beech are put together in a multi-hedging, they can create a striking mix of colours to create a unique hedge.
