    Delivery cost:

    Box – Products 15cm-50cm – £8 – Free when they spend £50

    Large Box – products 50-90cm – £10 – Free when they spend £60

    Pallet Delivery – products 90cm-110cm – £62 – free when they spend £250

    Large Pallet Delivery – products 110cm-300cm £68 – free when they spend £300

    We deliver our pallets to you on a large vehicle, similar in size to a standard refuse vehicle. If you think you will need a smaller vehicle for delivery, please contact us via phone call or email so we can change this for you. Please note, we charge extra for these smaller vehicle deliveries.

    Delivery timescales:

    At Harrods Outdoor, we try our very best to ensure our orders are dispatched within 10 working days of receipt and with most of our orders, they are dispatched the day after the order is placed. We can also deliver on a specified date to suit you. You can indicate the date you would like to receive delivery in the notes section of the checkout (or let us know when you place an order by the phone) and we’ll do our best to deliver on your chosen date.

    Please be aware that there can be accidents in the delivery service, like a broken-down vehicle and weather conditions, and although we are very experienced and aim to do our best for you, this is out of our control and we cannot be held liable for costs or inconvenience due to late deliveries.     You will receive an email or telephone call confirming the dispatch of your order 24/48 hours before it arrives with you.

    If you have ordered any of the products below, please read the accompanying information as it will answer any questions about the delivery process for these products:

    Pre-orders: pre-ordered products will be dispatched as soon as the product is supplied to us, which is not always instantly. You will be notified once the products are being dispatched, if this includes pre-ordered root balls this will be from mid-late October, if this includes pre-ordered bare roots this will be from early-mid November.

    Root balls: we lift root balls twice a week during root ball season because it requires the use of heavy, difficult machinery. We still have a quick turnaround timescale with the root balls but be aware that if your order has just missed one lifting, it will be a few days until we lift again and then deliver it to you. This method ensures the root balls are always fresh and therefore have a better success rate when being planted. We will confirm when your root ball is available to be delivered to you.

    We also ask you to be aware that weather conditions can affect when we can dispatch bare root and root ball plants. If the ground is too cold, they cannot be lifted because it can damage the roots and if the water supply becomes frozen, we will not be able to water the plants before packaging them. Very hot conditions can also be a challenge as we may have to delay delivery for species that are particularly vulnerable in the heat because we want to ensure you receive your plant in the best possible condition.

    We ask our customers to be mindful of bank holidays when couriers are not active and so this can affect their delivery time as well. We want to stress that we do everything in our power to ensure our plants arrive to our customers quickly and at a high standard.   

    Returns:

    We always quality check our plants before they are sent put to delivery but we are aware that you may be unhappy with the product you receive. Your happiness is our priority so if this is the case, read our returns policy below and contact our service team to organize a return so we can help find you what is best for you.

    There is a two-week period in which you can return your plants for a refund or replacement if you are unhappy with them. If the plants have arrived damaged then your return will be free of charge, however it must be agreed that the plant is significantly damaged as the loss of a few leaves in transit or loss of a pot on arrival won’t affect the plant’s ability to grow in your garden. If we do not find significant fault with the plant then we may ask you to pay the full or partial return costs, this is the same for if you are returning the plant because of a change of plan. We will also ask you to pay the return costs if you are returning plants because of over-buying the product or if you have purchased it by error, there are different prices for pallets or boxes which is added onto the original cost of delivery incurred by Harrods Outdoor. We always aim for complete customer satisfaction and so are always happy to help you return your plants to allow you to re order and find exactly what you are looking for, it’s this customer service that is reflected in our amazing reviews you can see on the website.
