We offer FREE Specialist Delivery on qualifying orders across the UK, ensuring top-quality plants are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively. Delivery options are tailored to the size and type of plants you order.
Please be aware that topiary products or plants with large root systems (like Box, Ilex, or Monkey Puzzle) may need special delivery arrangements. If you’re not sure about the delivery type or cost, you can use our handy shipping calculator in the cart. Just pop in your address, and it’ll give you the delivery cost nice and quickly. Policy Contents
Not Home? No Problem!
If you are not home during the delivery, we instruct our couriers to leave your plants in a safe place with your permission. Please specify your preferred safe place in your order notes or contact us directly.
Box / Parcel Deliveries
Box/parcel deliveries are priced the same across the UK. We use third-party couriers to deliver bare root plants ranging from 15cm to 170cm and pot-grown plants from 15cm to 70cm. Here are the costs for different sizes of box deliveries and how to get free delivery:
SMALL BOX/PARCEL DELIVERY
Size: 0-50cm
Cost: £12
Free Delivery: On orders £100 or more.
Details: Excludes rootball plants.
MEDIUM BOX/PARCEL DELIVERY
Size: 51-120cm
Cost: £18
Free Delivery: On orders £150 or more.
Details: Excludes rootball plants and pot grown plants above 70cm.
LARGE BOX/PARCEL DELIVERY
Size: Bare root plants 121-150cm
Cost: £25
Free Delivery: On orders £200 or more.
Details: Excludes rootball and pot grown plants.
EXTRA LARGE BOX/PARCEL DELIVERY
Size: Bare root plants 151-200cm
Cost: £35
Free Delivery: On orders £250 or more.
Details: Excludes rootball and pot grown plants.
Pallet Deliveries
Like box deliveries, pallet deliveries are also priced uniformly across the UK. Using trusted third-party couriers, we deliver bare root plants ranging from 171cm to 200cm, as well as root ball and pot-grown plants from 15cm to 200cm. Below, you’ll find the costs for various pallet sizes and details on how to qualify for free delivery.
PALLET DELIVERY
Size: 0-200cm
Cost: £65
Free Delivery: On orders £350 or more.
Details: Applies to all root types. Please note this is curbside delivery only.
Van Deliveries
On our website and invoices, this service is referred to as “Extra Large Van Delivery.” It is a direct delivery service provided by Harrod Outdoors, typically using a Luton-style van for orders that cannot be handled through the pallet network. This specialized service is designed for larger plants ranging from 200cm to 450cm, with pricing determined by the delivery area.

Lorry Deliveries
On our website and invoices, this service is referred to as “XXL Lorry Delivery.” It is a third party service organized by Harrod Outdoors logistics team, typically using an articulated lorry or other suitbale lorries for your plants. This specialized service is designed for very large orders and larger plants ranging from 450cm up to 1200cm, with pricing determined by the delivery area.

Collection From Our Norfolk Nursery
You can collect all orders directly from our nursery at no additional cost. Once your order is ready for pickup, we will notify you via email. To take advantage of this convenient service, simply select the ‘Collection’ option as your delivery method during checkout.
Additional Information
All deliveries are curbside only. Customers must be prepared to unload their orders themselves. For lorry deliveries, ensure you have the appropriate equipment ready when the driver arrives.
Personalized Premium Delivery Options
In addition to our standard curbside delivery options, you can request a van or lorry delivery with assistance from the driver to help unload your plants. This service offers a personalized touch, ensuring your plants are delivered directly by us and placed where you need them within a reasonable distance from the delivery location.
Please mention this request in your delivery order notes upon checkout or contact us directly to arrange. Upon your request, we will re-evaluate your delivery fee and inform you of the delivery time. Delivery Restrictions
Please inform us if your delivery address has any access restrictions, as failed deliveries due to unreported issues will incur an additional charge. Whether your order is delivered by box, pallet, van, or lorry, it’s essential to notify us of any access challenges, such as overhanging branches, overgrown hedgerows, low-hanging cables, narrow country roads, or cul-de-sacs. If you have received deliveries before and are familiar with the type of vehicle that can access your property, kindly include this information in the order notes when placing your purchase.
For tall or heavy plants, we kindly ask that someone be available to assist the driver with unloading upon delivery. Please note that all deliveries are curbside only, and delivery drivers are not obligated to carry plants to back gardens or other areas; their responsibility is limited to unloading the plants.
Please note that we may be unable to deliver to Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland due to Brexit rules and regulations, please contact us directly if you require delivery in these areas for a customized quote and advice.
Delivery Lead Times
Delivery is usually completed within 10-15 working days from the date of your order, but we kindly ask that you allow up to 30 days. For orders involving custom frames, specialized lorry deliveries or planting, we will be in touch to discuss your extended lead time. If you’d like an estimated delivery date before placing your order, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. While we strive to meet scheduled delivery dates, we cannot be held responsible for delays beyond our control, such as shipping disruptions, bank holidays, stock availability, or adverse weather conditions.

Receiving Your Delivery
Upon delivery, please inspect your plants carefully. If you have any concerns or are dissatisfied for any reason, notify the delivery team immediately. You will be required to sign an acceptance note. If you have requested that your plants be left unattended in your absence, this will be considered your acceptance, as inspection will not be possible. Please note that once plants are inspected and accepted, returns cannot be accommodated due to their perishable nature.
It is your responsibility to transport the trees from the front of your property to your garden. If direct access to your garden is not available, we cannot move trees through your property, nor do we provide cranes for lifting. You are also responsible for disposing of any pallets or packaging.
Access Restrictions must be reported if not at the time of placing the order then no later than 12:00 pm the day before delivery, to avoid additional charges or potential cancellation of the contract. We cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by access restrictions.
Delivery Issues: In rare instances, delivery may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Should this happen, we will notify you as soon as possible.
